Viliam Solovic — Clouds and Meshes
Born of chance operations—dice throws governed by predetermined rules and harmonic anchor points—the foundation of the piece emerged through process rather than expression. This raw material was refined and then layered with piano, voice, and recordings, forming a structure guided primarily by an 'intellectual'/rational curiosity: a fascination with musical form, its construction and deconstruction. Yet in following this rational principle, theme and emotional content seeped in unintentionally, woven into the work as implication rather than statement.
